Woman dies in Audrain County UTV crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 60-year-old woman was killed in a UTV crash in Audrain County on Friday night.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the Thompson woman was driving a 2019 Polaris General 1000 southbound on Audrain Road 209. Around 8:50 p.m., she swerved to avoid a deer in the road north of Audrain Road 259.

The UTV went off the left side of the road, flipped and went airborne before landing back on the road, the report says. The woman was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene.

She was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet, according to the report. Her body was brought to Arnold Funeral Home.

MSHP does not name victims in its reports.
