Man dies in Pettis County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 40-year-old Sweet Springs man died during a crash in Pettis County at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash happened on eastbound Highway 50 at Sadie Lane.

The crash involved two vehicles. The 40-year-old man was driving a 2009 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide and a 60-year-old Sedalia woman was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue.

The report states the motorcycle hit the passenger side of the woman's car.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to Bothwell Regional Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled. According to the report, the man was wearing a DOT-approved helmet at the time of the crash. The woman was not wearing a seatbelt.
