Flood Warning issued October 1 at 2:53PM CDT until October 4 at 3:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Chariton River near Prairie Hill affecting Chariton and Macon
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Chariton River near Prairie Hill.

* WHEN…From this evening to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Fields along the river begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.2 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 16.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage Saturday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
