Tracking summer-like warmth taking over Mid-Missouri

TODAY: I'm tracking warm afternoon conditions as temperatures climb into the low 80s under bright, sunny skies. Gentle southerly winds will continue through the rest of the day at around 8-12 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking another quiet overnight with slightly milder temperatures than last night, staying in the mid to upper 50s. A steady southwesterly breeze at 5-10 mph will keep conditions comfortable through morning.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking warm, late-summer weather building into Wednesday afternoon, pushing highs into the mid-to-upper 80s. A dry cold front moves through Wednesday evening, briefly dipping temperatures into the low 80s for Thursday before mid-to-upper 80s return by Friday afternoon. Some cloud cover will be passing through late Thursday, though strong upper-level steering keeps rain chances at zero. A tropical system will be moving past to our east over the weekend; while it may send extra clouds into Mid-Missouri on Saturday and Sunday, rain will stay well clear of the area. Mid-80s will hold steady into early next week ahead of a stronger system that could bring our next real shot at rain and cooler temperatures.
