COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 51-year-old Sullivan man died in Wednesday morning crash after driving the wrong way through a roundabout on Highway 54 in Audrain County about two miles north of Laddonia, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report says the man drove his 2024 Kia Telluride northbound, crossed the center of the road and started going the wrong direction through the roundabout. His vehicle hit a 2017 Ford Escape head-on, the report says.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, the report says.

The Ford was driven by a 43-year-old Vandalia woman, who had serious injuries and was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance.

MSHP reports do not name those involved in crashes.
