COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Sufficient water pumping has been restored to Eagle Bluffs Conservation area, according to a Monday press release from the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Issues with the area’s water supply infrastructure led to the MDC to suspend waterfowl hunting in the area last month.  With pumping restored, MDC staff can manage the water again and waterfowl hunting is set to begin Saturday, Nov. 7 in the middle zone.

Applications for in-season reservations are available Tuesday for the week of Nov. 17, the release says.

“Work related to the Missouri River water supply pumps replacement project nears completion, but until the project is finalized, the River Parking lot will remain closed,” the release says. Previous reporting says the project costs $1.5 million.
