No injuries reported in north Columbia house fire Sunday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries were reported after a Sunday morning house fire in north Columbia.

According to Boone County Joint Communications, the 2504 block of Oakland Gravel Road was closed around 7 a.m. for a "fire incident."

An ABC 17 News reporter arrived on scene around 7:15 a.m. and saw four Columbia Fire Department engines. No lingering smoke could be seen from the home.

CFD Captain Wayne Cummins said that crews arrived on scene shortly after 6:30 a.m. and put out a small fire within five minutes of arriving.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Cummins said. The road reopened around 7:30 a.m.
