Tracking plenty of sunshine with a gradual warm-up by the end of the week

TODAY: I'm tracking a bright, pleasant Sunday ahead as morning temperatures in the upper 40s quickly give way to mostly sunny skies. Expect afternoon highs to reach the upper 70s with a gentle northerly breeze at 8-12 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking another quiet and mostly clear night as temperatures drop back into the upper 40s. Winds will shift out of the northeast and remain calm at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a slightly cooler start to the workweek on Monday, with mostly sunny skies and highs settling in the low 70s. Then, I'm tracking a steady warm-up through the rest of the week, with continued sunny days and mostly clear nights. Highs climb back into the upper 70s by Tuesday afternoon, reaching the low 80s on Wednesday and Thursday. More summer-like warmth is returning to Mid-Missouri by the end of the week, with mid-80s expected by Friday and Saturday afternoon.
