Tracking warm, dry weather lasting through the weekend

TODAY: I'm tracking a milder start this morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s, setting the stage for a summer-like afternoon. Bright sunshine paired with a southwesterly breeze at 5-10 mph, gusting up to 15 mph, will push highs into the mid to upper 80s during the peak heat of the day.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking high-level cloudiness filtering overhead as a dry cold front moves across Mid-Missouri. The front won't do much to drop our temperatures, with north winds at 4-8 mph keeping overnight lows held in the mid to upper 50s.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a minor dip in temperatures Thursday afternoon with highs topping out in the low 80s. The slight cool-down will be short-lived, as southerly winds and mostly sunny skies return Friday to bump highs back into the mid to upper 80s. Similar warmth will be sticking around through the weekend, with the primary effect of the remnants of Tropical Storm Isaias passing to our east being a slight increase in clouds Saturday and Sunday. Dry, warm conditions linger into early next week before a stronger, more organized system brings our next meaningful rain chances and cooler air behind it.
