Tracking a cooler, cloudier afternoon before persistent heat takes back over

TODAY: I'm tracking increasing cloud cover this morning due to the remnants of Hurricane Isaias, but no rainfall is expected in Mid-Missouri. Temperatures will start in the low 60s and warm into the mid-80s by the afternoon, with southeasterly winds at 8-12 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking clear skies across Mid-Missouri quickly returning, allowing temperatures to drop into the mid-to-upper 50s by the end of the night. Southerly winds at 5-10 mph will continue overnight.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking sunshine and southwesterly winds leading to a hot Sunday, with temperatures in the low 90s by the afternoon. This heat continues through Monday before cloud cover gradually returns Tuesday afternoon. This will lead to widespread rain and storm chances, with the best chance of precipitation lasting through most of Wednesday before drier conditions return Thursday evening. By Friday, fall-like weather returns, with temperatures in the low 50s before warming into the upper 60s by the afternoon.
