Tracking a warm weekend, active pattern next week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the upper 50s to around 60.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny early, becoming mostly cloudy by afternoon. Highs in the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a mild night as winds remain from the southeast, keeping temperatures in the upper 50s to around 60 by morning. We'll see increasing clouds tomorrow, especially by afternoon as what's left of Isaias tracks into the Mississippi and Ohio valleys. It's currently a category 3 with winds of 120 mph making landfall along the western Florida Panhandle/Gulf Shores of Alabama in the next few hours. We'll remain rain-free through the weekend with highs in the upper 80s and sunshine on Sunday, with the addition of more cloud cover overnight Sunday as a weak wave passes overhead. Next week starts off hot with records in jeopardy again on Monday as upper high pressure remains, putting highs in the 90s. Tuesday is warm in the 80s ahead of a slow moving front that will eventually stall across Mid-Missouri on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing rounds of rain and storms. As the front finally begins to progress east Wednesday night into Thursday, a few strong storms will be possible in western Missouri. Rain amounts will center around 2", especially for the western half over this time frame. We'll see a significant cool down on the other side of this front, with highs potentially struggling to touch 70 on Friday, and upper 30s to low 40s for lows in the realm of possibility late next weekend.
