Tracking unseasonably warm weather paired with plenty of sunshine

TODAY: I'm tracking a clear and crisp morning as temperatures start out in the upper 40s to low 50s. Plenty of afternoon sunshine will push highs into the low 80s, accompanied by a gentle southerly breeze around 8-12 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking another calm overnight, though conditions will stay a bit milder compared to previous nights. Southwesterly winds at 5-10 mph will help hold temperatures in the mid to upper 50s through daybreak.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a return to late-summer warmth on Wednesday, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s. A dry cold front crosses the region Wednesday evening, nudging temperatures back into the low 80s for Thursday before mid-to-upper 80s quickly make a comeback by Friday afternoon. I'm tracking some additional clouds late Thursday night into Thursday, though dry air overhead keeps rain out of the picture. Then a potential tropical system will drift east of Mid-Missouri over the weekend, which may filter in extra cloud cover, but moisture remains well outside our area. Mid-80s stick around through the weekend and early next week ahead of a stronger system that could bring our next real chance for rain and cooler air.
