Tracking more clouds Tuesday, sprinkles possible

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cool with lows in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and comfortable with highs in the low to mid-70s. A few sprinkles are possible between Tuesday night and early Wednesday.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking an increase in clouds tonight into Tuesday as a disturbance slides along the top of the flattening upper high pressure system responsible for our warm and quiet weather. We'll drop into the lower 50s  tomorrow, and despite cloud cover manage to make it to the mid-70s on Tuesday afternoon. We'll begin clearing on Wednesday into Thursday with highs reaching near 80 by Thursday afternoon before another disturbance moves in from the southwest by the end of the week to bring light rain chances between Friday and Saturday. This system appears to be weakening by the time it reaches Mid-Missouri, bringing less than 0.25" of rain between Friday and Sunday. There could be some light spotty rain around on Halloween, but certainly not a washout for trick or treating, with evening temperatures in the 60s on Saturday night. Next week starts off active with a better shot at measurable rain in the 1-1.5" realm between Monday and Tuesday.
