COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Camden County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a family found needles in their Halloween candy after trick-or-treating in the HH area of the county, according to a Facebook post from the agency.

The Camden County Justice Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, a day it's usually closed, so that people can bring in Halloween candy for an X-ray, according to the post. The X-rays will also be available during its regular hours this week.

"We have no information indicating this is anything more than an isolated incident but, out of an abundance of caution, we encourage anyone concerned to come to the Justice Center," Chief Deputy Scott Hines is quoted in the post.

The sheriff's office is investigating the source of the needled candy.
