Missouri Task Force 1 put on ‘alert’ as hurricane heads to Gulf Coast

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Task Force 1 has been put on “alert” by FEMA as Hurricane Isaias approaches the Gulf Coast, the Boone County Fire Protection District announced in a Friday press release.

The release says Task Force 1 was placed on alert as a Type 3 Urban Search and Rescue Task Force.

“Team members and specialized equipment are prepared for potential deployment should federal assistance be requested,” the release says.
